A workshop that never really stopped smelling of sawdust.
We began repairing other people’s furniture. Somewhere between the repairs, we started making our own.
Casa Oliva started in 2015 as a two-bench repair workshop behind Qurum. People brought us tired chairs and cracked tables; we sent them home steady again. The more we mended, the more we understood why most new furniture does not last — and the more we wanted to make pieces that would.
Today the showroom sits on the Shatti Al Qurum coast, and the workshop is still attached to the back of it. Nothing leaves the floor that a maker here would not keep in their own home.
