Kohl Studio began as one chair behind a photographer’s set. It is now a beauty bar in Hittin — but the rule never moved.
Reem started doing makeup on editorial sets in 2017, where a face has to read from three metres and hold under studio lights for a twelve-hour shoot. That is a harder brief than a wedding, and it taught the whole studio to build looks that survive real life.
Today four of us share one long counter and a wall of light. We still trial every bridal look a week before the day, we still mix base by hand, and we still refuse to send anyone out looking like a filter.
