Every month we watched capable finance people spend their best days exporting CSVs, chasing bank lines, and rebuilding the same reports by hand. The work was necessary; almost none of it needed a human. So we wrote software that did the mechanical part and left the judgement to us.

Four years later that internal tool is Ledgerline, used by more than three thousand finance teams. We are still remote, still accountants at heart, and still measuring success one way: how fast a real close finishes.
