Its seat in West Bay hears matters in Arabic and English, applies whatever law the parties chose, and issues awards that Qatari courts and 170+ New York Convention states will enforce.

Fourteen years on, it has administered disputes worth billions of riyals — and its record is that most of them were never heard of again, which is precisely the point.
