One cloth at a time
No two commissions cut on the same day. The table belongs to one garment until it leaves it.

The Atelier
Thread Atelier is small on purpose. We take on a fixed number of commissions a season so every garment gets the table it needs.
The house opened in 2014 above a fabric merchant on Rue de Poitou. Camille had trained in a couture workroom and left it certain that clothing had grown too fast and too thin. The first collection was nine garments and a promise: cut only what we can cut properly.
Eleven years on, the rule still holds. A commission is measured, cut, and fitted three times by the same two hands that will finish it. We would rather turn a client away for the season than turn a garment out before it is right.
No two commissions cut on the same day. The table belongs to one garment until it leaves it.
We do not hide the work. Hand-stitching, pick-stitched edges, and a maker’s label you can read.
We choose the mill before we choose the shape. A season’s trend never outranks a good bolt of wool.
Anything we make, we mend — for as long as you keep it. Bring it back; do not throw it out.
