A public majlis on a curved seawall, its teak roof lifted like a sail so the breeze passes straight through and the harbour stays in view.

A family house folded around a shaded courtyard, its thick coral-stone walls keeping the rooms cool while narrow slots frame the water.

Sail Pavilion
Katara, Doha
A beach restaurant under a single curved canopy that reads as a lateen sail from the water — all shade, no walls on the seaward side.

The Boatyard
Al Wakrah
An old dhow-building yard turned into workshops and a café. We kept the slipway and the timber frames, and let the craft carry on under the same roof.

A raised boardwalk threading a protected mangrove — timber on slim piers, touching the ground as lightly as we could draw it.

A century-old coral-and-plaster house brought back by hand — every wall re-burnished by the same trades that first raised it.
