The Bay
Built by a family that couldn’t bear to leave.
The Al Shanfari family spent every Khareef of their childhood on this stretch of sand. In 2015 they stopped going home at the end of summer — and built a place for everyone else to stay.
For years the bay was just a fishing spot and a family picnic. The kids grew up swimming before breakfast, learning the tides from the fishermen, and eating whatever came up in the nets. When the old beach house finally fell down, nobody wanted to build another private one.
So they built forty rooms instead, low against the dunes so nothing blocks the sea, and opened the gate. The lagoon stayed exactly as it was. The fishermen still land the catch every morning — now it goes to the kitchen instead of the family table.
It is still theirs, still run by hand. You will meet at least one Al Shanfari at breakfast, and they will absolutely ask if you slept well.

Shallow pool, gentle lagoon, and a team that keeps half an eye out so you don’t have to.
